Recall of Lean Ground Beef for Plastic Contamination

The Canada Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall for Fresh Lean Ground Beef due to possible contamination with plastic pieces. The product, sold in family-sized packages, was available at the Foodland store located at 15 Queen St. S, Tilbury, Ontario. The affected packages have a packaging date of February 25, 2025, and a best-before date of February 26, 2025.

Consumers are advised not to consume the recalled product. According to the CFIA, the recall was initiated by K-Tilbury Food Market Ltd following the discovery during a routine inspection. Consumers can return the product to the place of purchase or dispose of it securely.
