Region of Durham Issues Notice on Potential Canada Post Labour Disruption

Canada Post's agreement with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers ended on May 22, according to a notice from the Region of Durham. The Region states that if a Canada Post labour disruption occurs, mail delivery would stop.

The notice explains that this would prevent the Region from sending out notices, Ontario Works cheques or bills, and from receiving any mail. The Region advises residents to visit its Service Impacts webpage for further details.

Police, along with Justin’s family, have expressed concern for his well-being.

Payroll Employment Drops in March as Average Weekly Earnings Rise

Payroll employment in Canada fell by 54,100 jobs, or 0.3%, in March 2025, according to Statistics Canada’s Survey of Employment, Payrolls and Hours. This follows a decrease of 40,200 jobs in February. Statistics Canada also reported that average weekly earnings in March were $1,290.80,
