Regional Road 8 in Uxbridge to close Nov. 2–5 for twin culvert replacement near Concession Road 5

Regional Road 8 in the Township of Uxbridge will be closed from Nov. 2 to Nov. 5, 2026, from east of Concession Road 5 to 50 metres east of Concession Road 5, to allow for the replacement of twin culverts, ditching improvements and asphalt resurfacing, according to the Region of Durham.

The closure affects a small section of road near Concession Road 5 and could change if unfavourable weather impacts the work schedule.

Durham Region said crews will replace twin culverts, complete ditching improvements and resurface the road with asphalt during the closure.

Durham Region described the work as urgent repairs.

Drivers are asked to exercise caution in the area for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
