Road Rehabilitation Planned for Courtice and Bowmanville Streets in Fall 2025
D. Crupi & Sons Limited is scheduled to carry out pavement rehabilitation on multiple streets in Courtice and at one intersection in Bowmanville, with work set to begin in the fall of 2025, according to a municipal notice. The Municipality of Clarington states that construction is anticipated to be completed by November 2025, but notes that the schedule is approximate and may change due to weather or other factors.
The project will affect Stirling Avenue, Strathallan Drive, Stephen Avenue, Stuart Road, Poolton Crescent, Buyson Crescent, Faircomb Crescent, Lyndale Crescent, Windham Crescent, Claret Road, Beechnut Crescent, Parklawn Drive, and Hillhurst Crescent in Courtice. In Bowmanville, work will occur at the intersection of Lake Road and Lambs Road.
According to the municipality, the rehabilitation will involve the removal and replacement of surface and base asphalt where required, upgrades to concrete sidewalks and curbs, asphalt paving, line painting, the reinstatement of roadway shoulders where necessary, ditching, and related restoration activities.
The official notice states that each affected road may experience lane reductions and short-term closures during construction hours, which could lead to temporary traffic delays. The municipality further notes that the contractor, D. Crupi & Sons Limited, will ensure all garbage and recycling pick-up, along with deliveries, are not interrupted by construction activities.
All dates and plans are described as subject to change, depending on weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, as outlined by the Municipality of Clarington.
