Route 302 Detour in Brooklin During Spring Fair Parade on June 7, 2025

Durham Region Transit (DRT) will detour Route 302 in Brooklin on June 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. because of road closures for the Brooklin Spring Fair Parade.

The temporary detour affects regular stop locations during the parade hours, with some stops unavailable, according to DRT. This may require passengers to use alternate stop locations for the duration of the detour.

During the detour, Route 302 will travel along Winchester Road, Ashburn Road, Carnwith Drive, Montgomery Avenue, Columbus Road, and Thickson Road. DRT stated that the following stops will not be served:

  • All stops on Carnwith Drive between Montgomery Avenue and Thickson Road.
  • All stops on Baldwin Street between Winchester Road and Vipond Road/Campbell Road.
  • All stops on Vipond Road/Campbell Road, between Baldwin Street and Ashburn Road.

Temporary stops will be available at the following locations:

  • Winchester Road westbound and eastbound, west of Baldwin Street.
  • Ashburn Road northbound and southbound at Vipond Road.
  • Montgomery Avenue northbound, north of Carnwith Drive.
  • Thickson Road northbound and southbound at Carnwith Drive.

According to DRT, regular Route 302 service is expected to resume after 1:00 p.m. on June 7, 2025.
