Route 905 in Port Perry Detoured Due to Union Avenue Closure

Durham Region Transit (DRT) advises that Route 905 in Port Perry is operating on a detour beginning Tuesday, June 10, 2025, due to a road closure on Union Avenue. The detour will remain in place until further notice.

According to DRT, the detour affects where Route 905 riders may board and exit the bus during the closure.

DRT states that all bus stops on Union Avenue between Victoria Street and King Street are closed. Additionally, all stops on King Street between Union Avenue and Old Simcoe Road, as well as all stops on Old Simcoe Road between King Street and Victoria Street, are not being served during this detour.

Temporary stops have been set up on Victoria Street westbound at Ash Street and Victoria Street eastbound at Ash Street, as noted by DRT. No end date has been provided for the detour, and DRT has not given further information about the reason for the road closure or how long it will last.
