Scugog Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Blackstock Incident

A 28-year-old Scugog man has been charged with attempted murder after an early morning incident in Blackstock on June 20, according to the Durham Regional Police Service.

Police stated that at approximately 4:15 a.m., officers from North Division responded to an ambulance call near Sunrise Drive and Crestview Avenue. Officers located an adult male with visible trauma. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre, where he was reported to be in stable condition as of the police announcement.

Police said the suspect and the victim are known to each other. Craig Snowden, 28, of Scugog, was arrested at the scene. He has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possessing a weapon dangerous to the public peace. Police stated that Snowden was held for a bail hearing.

According to the police statement, these allegations have not been proven in court. The investigation remains ongoing.
