Seven Arrested, More Than 300 Charges Laid in Durham LCBO Theft Investigation
Seven individuals have been arrested after a joint investigation by the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) East Crime Team and DRPS Regional Reporting Centre into a series of thefts from LCBO stores in Durham Region during July 2025. The investigation also identified three additional suspects who remain outstanding, according to a statement released by DRPS on July 31.
Police state that the group is believed to be responsible for approximately $50,000 in stolen merchandise. DRPS reports that over 300 charges have been laid as a result of the investigation. Police say the initiative focused on larger scale theft rings and suspects deemed repeat offenders. The project was conducted in cooperation with the LCBO Resource Protection Unit.
A list of those charged and the names of suspects still being sought are available from DRPS. Police are asking anyone with information about these incidents to contact the DRPS East Crime Team. DRPS also notes that anonymous tips can be submitted through Durham Regional Crime Stoppers.
DRPS has stated that the information results from an ongoing police investigation, and the charges have not been proven in court.
