South Courtice Arena to Host Event for New Outdoor Amenities
The South Courtice Arena will host an event on September 21 from 3 to 6 p.m. to showcase its new outdoor amenities. The arena is located at 1595 Prestonvale Road in Courtice.
The new features include:
- Two tennis courts
- An outdoor fitness area, which is the first of its kind in Clarington, built on an accessible rubberized surface suitable for individuals using wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
- A multi-skills court
- Paved walkways leading to an off-leash dog park
During the event, residents can participate in various activities, including:
- A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Mayor and Councillors at 4 p.m.
- Indoor ice skating
- Demonstrations for tennis, outdoor fitness, basketball, and ball hockey
- Inflatables and face painting
- Games and a prize wheel
- A visit from Clarington Emergency and Fire Services
- Sensory spaces and freezies
