Statistics Canada: Employment Insurance Usage Steady in February 2025

Statistics Canada reported that 468,000 Canadians received regular Employment Insurance (EI) benefits in February 2025. This number was unchanged from January 2025. According to the agency, the number of regular EI beneficiaries has stayed at a similar level over the previous three months, after four consecutive declines from September to December 2024.

The monthly release did not provide figures for Ontario or Clarington. All reported data is from Statistics Canada's February 2025 Employment Insurance statistics.
