Three Arrested After Whitby Police Locate Stolen Vehicle on June 25, 2025

Three people were arrested in Whitby after officers from the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) located a stolen vehicle on Wednesday morning, June 25, 2025.

This incident occurred near Stellar Drive and Thickson Road South, an area identified by police as the location of the stolen vehicle. The DRPS stated that officers from Central West Division responded at approximately 8:20 a.m. and attempted a traffic stop. According to police, the driver of the suspect vehicle fled the area, but officers soon located the vehicle a short distance away and arrested three individuals without incident.

The DRPS identified those arrested as Taylor ROBERT, 37, of Keene; Meaghan PERRITT, 36, of Harcourt; and William REARDON, 42, of Port Hope. Police reported that ROBERT has been charged with flight from police, dangerous operation, operation while prohibited (three counts), possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and two counts of breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing.

According to the police, PERRITT faces charges of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and theft under $5,000. REARDON has been charged with breach of probation, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and theft under $5,000. DRPS advised that both PERRITT and REARDON were released on undertakings.

The Durham Regional Police Service advised that these are allegations from an ongoing investigation, and the charges have not been proven in court.
