Three Arrested in Pickering After Police Conclude 'Project Quantum' Drug Investigation
Three people were arrested in Pickering on June 12, 2025, after the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) Drug Enforcement Unit, assisted by the Gun and Gang Enforcement Unit, executed two search warrants that concluded a seven-month drug investigation known as “Project Quantum.”
Police reported that searches of a residence and a vehicle in Pickering led to the seizure of more than 1.1 kilograms of cocaine, a quantity of heroin and fentanyl, over $40,000 in cash, and two magazines containing ammunition.
According to DRPS, a 38-year-old man from Pickering was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking heroin, possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, possession of a prohibited device, and three counts of failing to comply with a weapons prohibition. DRPS also charged a 35-year-old woman from Pickering with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl, as well as possession of a prohibited device. A 54-year-old man from Mississauga was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, police stated. All three individuals were held for a bail hearing, according to DRPS.
