Truck Rollover in Uxbridge Sends Driver to Hospital with Life-Threatening Injuries
On Friday, August 22, 2025, a single-vehicle rollover occurred in the area of Uxbridge Concession 3, just north of the Uxbridge-Pickering Townline, according to Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).
The incident involved a loaded Freightliner truck traveling southbound on Uxbridge Concession 3. Police reported that the vehicle entered the soft shoulder of the roadway. The driver attempted to steer the truck out of the ditch, but the heavy load caused the truck to roll onto its side.
A 68-year-old man was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene and investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash. Police stated that the roadway was closed for several hours while officers collected evidence at the site.
