Two Men Seriously Injured in Off-Road Vehicle Rollover in Clarington

Two men were seriously injured after an off-road vehicle rolled over in Clarington on September 10, 2025. The Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) reports the collision occurred at approximately 9:25 p.m. near Clarington Concession Road 10 and Bowmanville Avenue.

Police stated that the two men were travelling in a dune buggy on a dirt road trail when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled over. Both men were transported to local hospitals and were later airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre in life-threatening condition. According to police, both individuals are now in stable condition.

The DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. Police reported that speed is believed to be a factor, and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked by police to contact Detective Constable Hoevenaars of the Traffic Services Branch. According to DRPS, anonymous tips can also be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers online or by phone.
