Two Young Pedestrians Injured in Ajax Collision

On November 22, 2024, at approximately 6:05 p.m., a vehicle collision involving two young pedestrians occurred on Williamson Drive, west of Seggar Avenue, in Ajax. A grey Honda SUV traveling westbound struck the pedestrians as they were crossing the road.

The incident resulted in serious injuries to a 9-year-old girl and a 12-year-old girl. Both were transported to a Toronto-area trauma center, where they are reported to be in critical but stable condition.

The 44-year-old male driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. He did not sustain any injuries.

The Durham Regional Police Service's Collision Investigation Unit conducted an investigation at the scene, which led to road closures in the area for several hours.
