Upcoming Hospice Fundraiser Scheduled on Municipal Land in Clarington

An upcoming fundraiser, the Marigold Hospice Care Hike and Bike event, is planned for September 21, 2025. It will be held on 2 acres of municipally owned land south of the Marigold Hospice Care facility at 1785 Cobbledick Road.

The General Government Committee of Clarington approved the use of this land, according to the minutes from their meeting on March 3, 2025. The municipally leased field, used for farming, will accommodate the event as local farmers have aligned their crop harvesting schedule to be completed before the date of the fundraiser. This coordination was confirmed during the committee meeting.

The fundraiser supports hospice care services and offers a way for residents to participate in a community-centered activity.
