Water conservation measures in effect in Blackstock from March 27 to April 27 during well-site work

Water conservation measures are in effect in Blackstock, in the Township of Scugog, from March 27 to April 27. Durham Region says the measures are tied to ongoing upgrades and construction at the Blackstock municipal well site.

The Region is asking all municipal water supply customers in Blackstock to discontinue all non-essential outdoor water use for the duration of the measures. Durham Region says the restrictions are intended to maintain adequate water levels for emergencies, including fire protection, while the work continues.

According to Durham Region, the conservation measures apply to residents and businesses connected to the municipal water supply in Blackstock.

The Region says it is making efforts to maintain normal water service during the period.

Durham Region says unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule and could affect the March 27 to April 27 timeline.
