Whites Road in Pickering set to close April 15–16 for track repairs at CPKC rail crossing

Whites Road (Regional Road 38) in Pickering is scheduled to close April 15–16 between Taunton Road (Regional Road 4) and Finch Avenue (Regional Road 27) to repair railroad tracks at the Canadian Pacific Kansas City Southern (CPKC) Railway crossing, Durham Region says.

The two-day closure affects a section of a north-south route in Pickering, and the work is tied to repairs at the rail crossing.

Durham Region said the closure will be in place on Whites Road from Taunton Road to Finch Avenue.

The Region said the work is to allow for the repair of railroad tracks at the CPKC Railway crossing.

Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Drivers are asked to exercise caution near the work area for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
