Wilson Road North in Oshawa expected to close Feb. 11 for emergency watermain valve replacement

Wilson Road North in Oshawa is expected to be closed between Attersley Drive and Terrace Drive from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb. 11 while Durham Region completes an emergency watermain valve replacement.

Residents and businesses in the area may experience low water pressure or a temporary interruption to water service during the repair.

Durham Region said that when water service returns to normal, customers should turn on a cold-water tap only and let it run for about five to 10 minutes to flush out any sediment that may have accumulated. The Region said this is intended to avoid sediment entering hot-water systems.

Drivers are asked to exercise caution near the work area for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews, Durham Region said.
