Windfields Farm Drive Closure to Affect Durham Transit Routes Until July 2025

Windfields Farm Drive between Thoroughbred Street and Simcoe Street will be closed from Friday, June 6, to Wednesday, July 11, 2025, according to Durham Region Transit.

This closure will affect routes 409, 419, Pulse 901, and N2. Durham Region Transit says that during the closure, routes 409 and 419 will detour using Britannia Avenue and Kentucky Derby Way. Pulse 901 and route N2 will operate to and from Windfields Farm Drive and Bridle Road.

According to Durham Region Transit, all bus stops on Windfields Farm Drive between Thoroughbred Street and Simcoe Street will not be served during this period. A temporary stop is available for westbound service on Windfields Farm Drive, west of Kentucky Derby Way.

No reason for the road closure was given by Durham Region Transit in the announcement.
