Winter 2026 book club schedules posted for Newcastle, Bowmanville and Courtice branches

Clarington Library, Museums & Archives posted the Winter 2026 schedule for adult and children’s book clubs at the Newcastle, Bowmanville and Courtice branches, with meetings in January, February and March 2026. Registration is available on the library’s website.

The lineup includes an evening adult club at Newcastle, a lunchtime adult club in Bowmanville, and two children’s clubs for Grades 3–7 in Courtice and Bowmanville. The library published the details on Dec. 3 as an event announcement on its website.

At the Newcastle Library, the adult book club meets at 6 p.m. The library lists “The Huntress” by Kate Quinn for Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026; “We All Live Here” by Jojo Moyes for Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026; and “James” by Percival Everett for Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

At the Bowmanville Library, the Lunchtime Book Club meets at 12 p.m. The schedule lists “James” by Percival Everett for Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026; “Normal People” by Sally Rooney for Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026; and “Four Winds” by Kristin Hannah for Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Children’s book clubs are scheduled for Grades 3–7. At the Courtice Library, the club meets at 4 p.m. to discuss “Allergic” by Megan Wagner Lloyd on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026; “Old School” by Gordon Korman on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026; and “The Candy Shop Wars” by Crandon Mull on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

At the Bowmanville Library, the children’s club meets at 4 p.m. The schedule lists “Northwind” by Gary Paulsen for Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026; “Front Desk” by Kelly Yang for Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026; and “Allergic” by Megan Wagner Lloyd for Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
