15-Year-Old Arrested After Axe Attack in Pickering

A 15-year-old male has been arrested in connection with an axe attack in Pickering. The incident occurred on November 23, 2024, around 7:55 p.m. near Liverpool Road and Kingston Road. Police responded to a disturbance involving several teenagers and found a victim with injuries from an axe strike. The victim was taken to a Toronto-area trauma center with serious injuries. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

On November 25, 2024, police executed a search warrant at the suspect's residence, leading to his arrest without incident. The suspect, a resident of Pickering, faces charges including aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for committing an offense. He is being held for a bail hearing.
