CFIA notice recalls Rossdown black garlic chicken products over undeclared soy

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency posted a notice on Sept. 11 about a Class 2 recall of certain Rossdown Farms & Natural Foods Meal Starters Black Garlic Chicken Breast products because soy is not declared on the label. The recall date was Sept. 5, and the products were distributed nationally.

The notice applies to retail sales. Consumers should not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products.

Affected products include the following Rossdown Farms & Natural Foods items:

• Meal Starters Black Garlic Chicken Breast (350 g) — UPC 6 28000 60073 2 — codes 2461263, 2461267, 2461277
• Meal Starters Black Garlic Chicken Breast Chunks (840 g) — UPC 6 28000 60094 7 — codes 2461263, 2461272
• Meal Starters Black Garlic Chicken Breast Skewers (350 g) — UPC 6 28000 60032 9 — codes 2461266, 2461267, 2461270

The recalling firm is Rossdown Natural Foods Ltd. The recall identification number is RA-82605, according to the CFIA notice.
