CFIA recalls Co-op Gold frozen chicken burgers and chicken bites due to undeclared egg

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a Class 2 recall notice for Co-op Gold brand frozen Chicken Burgers and Co-op Gold Maple & Brown Sugar Bacon Wrapped Chicken Bites because egg is not declared on the label. The CFIA said the affected products were distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, Saskatchewan and Yukon.

The notice applies to specific packages and codes, and the CFIA said people should not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products. Undeclared egg can pose a risk for people with egg allergies.

For Co-op Gold Chicken Burgers, the CFIA listed a 904 g package with UPC 0 57316 21795 0. The affected codes are BB 2027-JN-18 LOT 100808; 2027-JL-02 LOT 101118; and 2027-JL-22 LOT: 101600.

For Co-op Gold Maple & Brown Sugar Bacon Wrapped Chicken Bites, the CFIA listed a 360 g package with UPC 0 57316 21861 2. The affected code is BB 2027-JN-03 LOT 100449.

Federated Co-operatives Limited is listed as the recalling firm. The CFIA recall date is Sept. 10, 2026, and the identification number is RA-82621.
