Charges Laid After Drug Discovery During Traffic Stop in Whitby
A male has been charged following a traffic stop in Whitby where drugs were discovered.
On September 9, 2024, at approximately 12:40 a.m., officers from the Central West Division conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Burns Street West and Clarence Drive. During the search of the vehicle, conducted under the Cannabis Control Act, police found a quantity of drugs believed to include cocaine, fentanyl, and oxycodone.
The individual, identified as Brayden Wallace, age 23 from Oshawa, faces multiple charges including:
- Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available
Wallace was released on an Undertaking following the incident.
