Clarington Public Library Hosts Events for Islamic History Month
The Clarington Public Library, Museums, and Archives will be hosting several events in October to celebrate Islamic History Month. These events aim to educate the public about the contributions of Muslims to various fields such as medicine, astronomy, and the arts.

- Details: Families can enjoy stories, colouring, crafts, and henna. Presented with Muslim Women of Durham Region.
- Presentation and Q&A Session
- Location: Bowmanville Library
- Date and Time: Wednesday, October 9, 6:30-7:30pm
- Details: Learn about Muslim contributions to medicine, schools, astronomy, and more. Presented with Masjid Alhakeem.
- Family Activities and Presentations
- Location: Newcastle Library
- Date and Time: Saturday, October 12, 12-2pm
- Details: Various family activities and presentations. Presented with Al Ikram Foundation.
- Author Q&A with Sadiya Ansari
- Location: Online via Zoom
