Durham College and RPA Canada Announce New Accounting Program Pathway

Durham College (DC) has signed an agreement with RPA Canada to create a new pathway for graduates of its Business – Accounting program. This pathway allows students to pursue the Registered Professional Accountant (RPA) designation and get ready to take the RPA Mandatory Professional Exam. The initiative is designed to develop skills relevant for work in small and medium-sized enterprises, non-profits, and entrepreneurial settings.

Cristina Italia, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business at Durham College, stated that the agreement enables graduates to have access to a wider range of professional accreditation opportunities. Zubair Choudhry, President and CEO of RPA Canada, mentioned that the collaboration equips students with essential knowledge for the modern financial landscape.

The new pathway is an additional option alongside the existing Chartered Professional Accountant designation, providing graduates with expanded career preparation and opportunities.
