Durham College and Scottish university list Sept. 14, 2026 as earliest start date for online renewable energy project management module
Durham College and the University of the Highlands and Islands in Scotland say they are launching an online training module in renewable energy project management, with registration open and start dates available as early as Sept. 14, 2026.
The module adds a new short-format training option for people looking to study online. Durham College says the course is self-paced and offered with continuous intakes, allowing participants to start on different dates.
The module is titled Renewable Energy Project Management. Durham College says it is intended for people entering the energy sector as well as those already working.
Durham College says the module is delivered entirely online and allows participants to progress at their own pace.
The course content is focused on managing renewable energy projects from planning through implementation. The college lists stakeholder engagement, budgeting, risk management and project planning among the topics. It also says the module uses “industry-standard” tools.
Durham College says the module can be completed in less than 12 weeks. Participants who successfully complete it will receive a dual-branded Acknowledgement of Completion from both Durham College and the University of the Highlands and Islands.
Durham College says the module will be created and delivered by staff at UHI Moray, a college within the University of the Highlands and Islands.
The module is the first initiative identified by Durham College as coming from its partnership with the University of the Highlands and Islands. Durham College says the module was developed with input from Ontario Power Generation, Statkraft and SSE Renewables Ltd.
