Durham College says it will hold a Fall Open House on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, and will highlight several “diploma-to-degree” transfer pathways it says can let some students earn a diploma and a bachelor’s degree in as little as four years.

In an Oct. 13 posting, the college outlined three pathways that provide transfer credit toward specific Durham College degree programs for graduates of certain Ontario college diploma programs.

Graduates of an Ontario college Social Service Worker program can enter Durham College’s Honours Bachelor of Community Mental Health through a two-year pathway, the college said.

Durham College also lists a transfer pathway from the two-year Human Resources – Business diploma into its Bachelor of Business Administration – Human Resources Management degree. The pathway provides transfer credit for 16 courses, the college said.

Eligible students start in Semester 3 (the third semester) and complete the degree in three semesters plus a 14-week, 420-hour field placement, according to the college.

A third pathway applies to graduates of Ontario college advanced diplomas in Architectural Technology or Civil Engineering Technology. Durham College said those graduates can receive credit for the first four semesters of its Honours Bachelor of Construction Management and enter at Semester 5 (the fifth semester).

Attendees can speak with faculty members at the open house, the college said.

Durham College’s Oshawa campus is at 2000 Simcoe St. N., Oshawa. Its Whitby campus is at 1610 Champlain Avenue, Whitby.
