Gunfire damages Pickering home and two vehicles

Durham Regional Police are investigating after gunfire damaged a residence and two vehicles near Shadybrook Drive and Edgewood Road in Pickering. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 8:25 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2026.

No physical injuries were reported, and investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident, police said in a November 2 release.

A resident called police after hearing multiple gunshots outside their home. Police said officers found several shell casings on the roadway and discovered gunfire damage to the residence and two vehicles parked in the driveway.

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage from the area. According to police, a lone suspect wearing black clothing approached the residence on foot, fired multiple rounds at vehicles in the driveway and fled on foot.

Police are seeking video footage or information about the shooting.
