Lane restrictions planned on Thickson Road South in Whitby April 13–22 for watermain valve replacement
Lane restrictions are planned on Thickson Road South (Regional Road 26) in Whitby from April 13 to April 22 while Durham Region replaces watermain valves between Victoria Street East (Regional Road 22) and Wentworth Street (Regional Road 60).
The restrictions will affect travel on that stretch of Thickson Road South for more than a week. Durham Region says unfavourable weather conditions may affect the work schedule.
Lane restrictions are expected to be in place on Thickson Road South from Victoria Street East to Wentworth Street, according to the Region.
The Region said the work is being done to replace watermain valves.
Durham Region is asking drivers to use caution in the area for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
