Police Arrest Suspect in Oshawa Stabbing Case

A stabbing was reported in Oshawa on April 29, 2025, prompting a police investigation. The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. near Park Road South and Adelaide Avenue West.

The victim, a male, sustained a stab wound to the arm and was transported to a Toronto trauma centre for treatment of injuries deemed not life-threatening.

As reported by the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS), a suspect, who initially fled the scene, has been apprehended. Jesse Richards, a 32-year-old with no fixed address, has been charged with Aggravated Assault and a probation order violation.

The police are continuing their investigation and are requesting any additional information from the public.
