Two Arrested After Fentanyl Found During Oshawa Traffic Stop
Two individuals have been charged following a traffic stop in Oshawa where a significant amount of fentanyl was discovered. According to the Durham Region Police Service, the incident happened on the evening of Sunday, February 23, 2025. Officers from the Central East Division conducted the stop at approximately 8:20 p.m. near Ritson Road South and Dean Avenue.
During the stop, officers noticed cannabis inside the vehicle which prompted a search. This search led to the discovery of a significant quantity of fentanyl. As a result, two males, a 25-year-old from Oshawa and a 30-year-old from Clarington, were arrested without incident.
Both individuals are facing charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl and having cannabis readily available in a motor vehicle. All information was provided by the Durham Region Police Service.
