Allo Simonne recalls two spreads due to pieces of glass, CFIA says
Allo Simonne Inc. is recalling two allo simonne spreads — Pistachio Matcha Spread and Almond Cardamom Spread — due to pieces of glass, according to a notification published by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). The CFIA lists the recall date as Aug. 25, 2026.
The recall may matter to local shoppers who buy specialty foods online, since the CFIA’s distribution information says the products were sold online and distributed in British Columbia and Quebec. The notice does not list Ontario in its distribution information.
The CFIA says people should not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products.
The CFIA listed the following affected products:
- allo simonne Pistachio Matcha Spread (220 g) — UPC 6 28437 31056 1; codes 12-104-26 MA/BB 10/27
- allo simonne Almond Cardamom Spread (220 g) — UPC 6 28437 31007 3; codes 7-104-26 MA/BB 10/27
The CFIA lists the issue as “Food - Extraneous Material” and the category as “Food - Other.” The CFIA classifies the recall as Class 2.
