The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a food recall warning on Aug. 21, 2026, for Kim Phat brand Seafood Medley (500 g) distributed in Quebec, saying the product contains egg, fish, soy and wheat that are not declared on the label.

The advisory includes specific package details—such as the UPC and date codes—to help shoppers identify the affected product, and the CFIA warned of the risk of serious reactions for some people.

The CFIA said people who are allergic or sensitive to egg, fish, soy or wheat could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume the recalled Seafood Medley.

The agency also advised that people with celiac disease or other gluten-related disorders should not consume the recalled product, saying it may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.

The recalled item is Kim Phat Seafood Medley sold in a 500 g package with UPC 6 28790 00196 2.

On the packaging, the CFIA listed these codes for the affected product: Production Date 25/08/16 and Best Before Date 27/08/15.

Ocean Packers Inc. is the recalling firm, according to the CFIA.

The CFIA said the recall was triggered by a complaint and that there have been no reported reactions associated with consumption of the product.

The agency said it is conducting a food safety investigation that may lead to the recall of other products, and that it is checking that recalled products are being removed from the marketplace.

The recall is classified as Class 1 and is listed under identification number RA-82523.
