CFIA recalls PK Roasted Lemon N’ Chilli Peanuts in Ontario and Quebec over possible Salmonella

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has recalled PK brand Roasted Lemon N’ Chilli Peanuts (65 g) sold in Ontario and Quebec because of possible Salmonella contamination, with the recall notice last updated Sept. 10, 2026.

Salmonella-contaminated food may not look or smell spoiled but can still cause illness. Young children, pregnant women, older adults and people with weakened immune systems may face serious and sometimes deadly infections.

The recalled product is PK Roasted Lemon N’ Chilli Peanuts in a 65 g package with UPC 6 28998 001245. The codes listed are Best before: 2027/JN/20 and Batch no.: CN94.

Residents are advised not to consume, use, sell, serve, or distribute the recalled peanuts. The recalled product should be thrown out or returned to the store where it was purchased.

Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.

The CFIA said the recall was triggered by test results, and it reported no illnesses linked to the product.

Everest Traders Inc. is listed as the recalling firm. The CFIA said it is conducting a food safety investigation that may lead to the recall of other products, and it is verifying that recalled products are being removed from the marketplace.

The recall is classified as Class 2 and listed under identification number RA-82611.
