The Clarington Council has approved a change to its Procedural By-law to include the playing of "O Canada" at the beginning of its meetings. This amendment took place during the General Government Committee meeting on April 7, 2025. According to the minutes, the anthem is now scheduled to be played after the Land Acknowledgement and before the Moment of Silence in the meeting agenda.
