Culture Days’ “Trailside Finale” is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Soper Creek Park and along Bowmanville’s Marie Hubbard Trail (formerly the Soper Creek Trail), according to an Aug. 26 notice from the Municipality of Clarington.

The event is part of Culture Days 2026, a national initiative running from Sept. 18 to Oct. 4. The municipality lists Culture Days events in Clarington during that period as free and including performances, workshops and hands-on activities.

For the Oct. 4 finale, the municipality’s notice lists interactive chalk art, 3D art installations and live painting, along with community art experiences, creative workshops and hands-on activities.

The programming is also to include an interactive story walk with Clarington Library, Museums and Archives, and a Monarch Monoprint Workshop with the Visual Arts Centre of Clarington.

The Clarington Concert Band is set to offer live performances, music instruction and opportunities to try musical instruments. The finale is also to include a puppet show and other family entertainment.

Food trucks scheduled to attend include Masala Box and Zombie Dawgs.

The municipality says the Marie Hubbard Trail can be entered from Soper Creek Park at the south end or from King Street East (south of the Mearns Avenue intersection) at the north end.

Parking is listed at Bowmanville High School, 49 Liberty St. N. The notice says a shuttle bus will take visitors from the school to the top of the Visual Arts Centre of Clarington property at 143 Simpson Ave.

Accessible parking will be available at the bottom of the driveway at Soper Creek Park, the municipality said.
