Downtown Orono roads to close Sept. 12 for Orono Fair Parade

Several roads in downtown Orono will close Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon for the Orono Fair Parade, which is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m.

The temporary closures are expected to limit vehicle access in parts of downtown Orono as the parade route heads toward the Orono Fairgrounds.

The following streets are slated to be closed during the event:

Mill Lane (North Mill Lane to Mill Street)
Mill Street (Mill Lane to Park Street)
Park Street (Mill Street into the Orono Fairgrounds)

Emergency access will be maintained during the closures.

The Orono Fair runs Sept. 10 to 13 at the Orono Fairgrounds, according to a notice posted by the Municipality of Clarington.
