Durham’s Curbside Giveaway Day runs June 13, 2026, with 7 a.m.–7 p.m. curbside drop-off
Durham Region’s Curbside Giveaway Day is set for Saturday, June 13, 2026, running from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with residents across the region, including in Clarington, able to place unwanted items in good condition at the curb as long as they are clearly marked “Free.”
The one-day event allows residents to put out items for others to take, but anything not claimed must be brought back into the home by 7 p.m. Durham Region says material left at the curb after 7 p.m. will be subject to by-law enforcement.
To take part, residents can place items they want to give away at the curb on June 13 and label them “Free.” People picking up items should take only items marked “Free”; if something is not marked, the region says they should check with the item’s owner before taking it.
Durham Region also says some items should not be put out, including baby items such as car seats and cribs.
The region lists several rules intended to prevent problems on neighbourhood streets during the day, including not blocking traffic or sidewalks, not placing items on the road, not trespassing on private property, not blocking driveways, and not parking illegally.
