Lane restrictions planned on Stellar Drive in Whitby June 15 to July 15

Lane restrictions are planned on Stellar Drive (Regional Road 25) in Whitby from June 15 to July 15, between about 850 metres and one kilometre west of Thornton Road South (Regional Road 52), to install water services and build new entrances for a development, according to Durham Region.

Drivers who use Stellar Drive west of Thornton Road South can expect traffic disruptions during the work window, and Durham Region said the schedule could change if there is unfavourable weather.

In an online notice issued June 4, Durham Region said the work area will be on Stellar Drive west of Thornton Road South, on the segment starting about 850 metres west of Thornton Road South and extending to about one kilometre west.

Durham Region said the lane restrictions are planned to allow crews to install water services and construct new entrances.

Drivers are asked to use caution around pedestrians, cyclists and work crews during the restrictions, Durham Region said.
