Police Seek Suspect in Durham Region Fraud Case

A man is being sought by police for allegedly impersonating another individual and committing fraud in the Durham Region. The suspect, identified as Jordon Ebony Fraser, 35, with no fixed address, is accused of accessing multiple insurance policies between November 2023 and March 2024. According to police, Fraser allegedly submitted online applications to cash out several fraudulently obtained policies, resulting in over $40,000 in funds.

Fraser faces multiple charges, including five counts of Fraud Over $5000, four counts of Personation, four counts of Utter Forged Document, four counts of Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5000, five counts of Possess Identity Information of Another, and Obtain Credit by False Pretences.

In addition to the charges in Durham Region, Fraser is also wanted by the Peterborough Police Service for related fraud offenses. Investigators have encouraged Fraser to contact legal counsel and arrange to turn himself in. He is known to have connections in Durham Region, Peterborough, and Asphodel-Norwood.

The allegations against Fraser have not yet been proven in court.
