Route 421 detour to bypass five Trulls Road stops November 5–20

Durham Region Transit’s Route 421 will detour via Nash Road and George Reynolds Drive in Clarington from November 5 to 20, 2026, bypassing five Trulls Road stops because of road construction, according to the transit agency. Temporary stops will operate along the detour.

The change affects service on Trulls Road between Nash Road and George Reynolds Drive. Four temporary stops will serve eastbound and westbound travel on Nash Road and George Reynolds Drive.

Stop #94041: Trulls Road southbound at Nash Road.
Stop #94040: Trulls Road southbound at Devondale.
Stop #94038: Trulls Road northbound at Cecil Found.
Stop #94039: Trulls Road northbound at George Reynolds Drive.

Bowmanville Hospital redevelopment contract awarded; major construction set for 2027

Lakeridge Health and Infrastructure Ontario awarded PCL Partnerships the contract on Nov. 5, 2026, to design, build and finance the redevelopment of Bowmanville Hospital, which will more than double its size.
