Clarington Walks Temporarily Moves for Recreation Centre Construction

As of Monday, April 7, 2025, Clarington Walks will temporarily relocate from the Bowmanville Indoor Soccer facility. This change comes as construction begins on the South Bowmanville Recreation Centre, prompting the adjustment in location, as confirmed by Clarington municipal officials.

For those seeking alternative walking venues, the Diane Hamre Recreation Complex will offer indoor walking space. The facility's gymnasium will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7 to 9 a.m. Additionally, participants may find access to other venues depending on ongoing program schedules and facility bookings.

This temporary move ensures the continuity of walking activities during the construction period without interruption.
