Premier Ford Issues Statement on Federal Election Results
Ontario Premier Doug Ford released a statement on the results of the federal election.
According to the official statement issued from Toronto, Ford said, "On behalf of the Government of Ontario, I want to congratulate Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the newly elected Members of Parliament."
Ford stated, "We look forward to working with the federal government to grow the economy, create good jobs and make life more affordable for the people of Ontario."
He added, "As we face shared challenges, including economic uncertainty and the rising cost of living, our government will continue working to advance the interests of the people of Ontario in partnership with our federal colleagues."
This statement was published as part of an Ontario government news release following the conclusion of the federal election.
